About Me

My name is Thomas Young. I live in Austin, TX with my girlfriend and our dog, Scuttles. My career has been spent in the personal finance space, most recently as the co-founder of Rocket Dollar. We help people who want to use their retirement savings to invest in alternative assets. My time there has led me to learn a lot about not only how people save and invest for retirement, but also how many people see their finances as a whole.

As a personal finance nerd, I also get questions from a lot of my friends and family about saving, income, budgeting, student loan repayments, IRA contributions, and a ton more. I felt that if my network had those questions, then others might too, and that’s how Daily Dollar Decisions was born.
